A group of young people in Kpone, within the Kpone Katamanso Municipality of the Greater Accra Region, have staged a demonstration to protest poor roads, water shortages, and unresolved land boundary disputes in the area.

Clad in red and black outfits, the youth staged the “Enough is Enough Demo” on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, to draw attention to several pressing issues affecting their community.

The protesters highlighted dilapidated roads, unreliable water supply, and ongoing land boundary issues as their major concerns, stressing the need for urgent government intervention.

Carrying placards and banners, the demonstrators marched through the streets from Kpone School Junction, through the CHASS Oil Tanker Depot, and on to the Municipal Assembly, where they called on the government to address their grievances.

They stressed that these problems are not only stifling economic activities but also worsening living conditions in the community.

“The poor road network, which has been further worsened by the recent downpour, is making it difficult for us to transport goods and services, while water scarcity is forcing us to rely on expensive and sometimes unsafe sources,” said one of the protesters.

“We need the government to take immediate action to address these challenges,” another added.
