Police arrest one suspect in the shooting of 2 policemen
One person believed to be part of those who ambushed and opened fire on police officers returning from night patrols at Drobonso in the Sekyerre Afram Plains District in the Ashanti Region, killing two and wounding one, has been arrested.
The Ashanti Regional Police Commander, COP Ken Yeboah, who briefed Graphic Online’s Ashanti Regional Reporter, Donald Ato Dapatem, said he the suspect was arrested at Nsuta in the Ashanti Region.

COP Yeboah, declined to give the name of the suspect but added that he was identified by some victims of robbery attacks.
He said a search on the suspect led to the retrieval of a pistol whose barrel had been shortened.

Some unknown armed persons on Wednesday night shot and killed two police officers and wounded another at Drobonso in the Sekyere Afram Plains District of the Ashanti Region.
The police officers were returning to their base at Kumawu after performing the day's duties at Drobonso in the Afram Plains area of Ashanti.
The two officers, Inspector Adolph Mutse and Constable Prosper Ashinyo died on the spot.
They were on board a police vehicle with registration number GP 2346 driven by Inspector Adolph Mutse.
