Raging fire destroy 6 vehicles in Adeiso

A raging inferno at a mechanical shop gutted a total of six vehicles at Adeiso in the Eastern region on Monday afternoon.

The fleet of cars had been parked at the shop for routine maintenance.

Eyewitnesses said some of the mechanics started the fire with the intention of burning some rubbish.

They however left it unattended. Fanned by the wind and dry grass in the area, the fire quickly spread through, burnt some used vehicle tyres and torched the six vehicles as well.

An eyewitness told Accra based radio station, Asempa FM that but for the intervention of fire service personnel, the fire would have spread to a nearly Modex fuel filling station.
