Red Sea Housing builds facilities for La Ollennu Basic School

Red Sea Housing Services, a construction company, has cut the sod for the contruction of a four unit classroom block and a canteen for the Justice Nii Amaa Ollennu Basic School at La in Accra.

Expected to be completed in 2015, the entire cost of the project is estimated at GH¢450,000 including an administration block which has already been completed.

At the ceremony

Speaking at the ceremony, the Director of Red Sea Housing Services, Mr Amarkai Amarteifio, said as a company which is noted as world market leader in manufacturing of modular buildings, it was therefore necessary to provide broad range of housing for commercial requests.

He said as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility, provision of the facility was in support of the efforts of the La Mansaamo Kpee in improving quality of education, health and sanitation in the community.

Besides, he said the company would continue to support the country in diverse ways through the development in various communities.

Response

The Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors, Mr K B Asante, expressed gratitude to the company in their assistance to La Mansaamo Kpee to promote education in the community.

He said the issue of infrastructure had been a bane for the board over the years and it is with a sigh of relief to gain support from a corporate body.

“We hope the remaining projects would be completed to enhance teaching and learning for both students and teachers,” he stated.
