The awards, which was instituted in 2011 by the ExLA Group, seek to empower individuals and organisations that have distinguished themselves in their various fields of endeavours in Ghana.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed at a brief ceremony in Accra between the managements of Sasso and ExLA Group to officially commence the sponsorship deal of the awards event slated for October 2015.

The Executive Director of ExLA Group, Mr Daniel Osei Tuffour, said the initiative sought to reward people who had excelled in the society and had been selected from a wide range of fields including politics, entrepreneurship and sports.

He stated that the excellent nature of the award scheme necessitated the choice of an equally excellent company as a partner for the organisation of the fifth edition of the prestigious award scheme.

Mr Tuffuor said ExLA Group approached Samara company following the success the company had chalked up in recent times and the niche that it had carved for itself on the Ghanaian market, which has earned it the respect of the majority of the people.

“Sasso is unique. Winning the Fastest Growing Company at the recent Head of State Awards tells you it is an excellent company; this is part of the reasons we decided to partner with Sasso,” Mr Tuffour disclosed.

He stated that associating with Sasso would help strengthen the already soaring image of the brand as an award winning company, as well as the image of ExLA Group.

Fruitful relationship

Mr Tuffour said he was hopeful that both parties would be completely satisfied after the awards and that ExLA looked forward to more fruitful relationships with Sasso in the future.

The Executive Chairman of Samara Company Limited, Mr Samson Effah Apraku, declared his company’s willingness to support an honourable cause which sought to promote growth and development in the society.

“Sasso deals in excellence, so an excellent cause of this nature will be supported to enhance the development and growth of our society,” Mr Apraku emphasised.

He said he was optimistic that the event would be a success and he looked forward to having fruitful deliberations with ExLA Group in the subsequent years.
