The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced that parts of the Central, Eastern, Tema, and Greater Accra Regions will experience temporary power outages on Thursday, October 2, 2025, as the company undertakes planned maintenance works to improve service delivery.

In the Central Region, the exercise will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., affecting Apam Station, Roundabout, Castle, Amamodo, Cocoa House, Bomboa, Apam Come Down, Gomoa Mankoadze, and surrounding communities.

Residents of the Eastern Region will also be impacted during the same period, with outages scheduled in Oda township, Achiase, Aprade, Akenkansu, Asene, Manso, Asuboa, Swedru, Awisa, Asawase, Aduasa, and nearby areas.

In the Tema Region, maintenance works will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., affecting communities including Community 26, Shanghai, Kpone Township, Youth With A Mission, Maruku Hotel, Puma, C& Medical Center, Spintex Junction, KFC, Texpo, and surrounding areas.

Meanwhile, in the Greater Accra Region, the exercise is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Affected locations include New Bortianor, Adanseman, Cassava Farm, Mr Obeng Block Factory, Oshiyie, Abease, Achiama, Obeyeyie, Ayikai, Doblo, Akramaman, Ghana International School, Hisense Warehouse, and Legon Hills.

ECG has apologised for the inconvenience the outages may cause and assured customers that the maintenance works are part of efforts to enhance reliable power supply across its operational areas.
