Sekyere Rural Bank furnishes Boanim Police Station

The Sekyere Rural Bank Limited at Jamasi in the Sekyere South District in the Ashanti Region has furnished the Boanim Police Station with a set of furniture and accessories worth GH¢10,000.

The bank has also provided a two-water closet washroom and an amount of GH¢2,000 as part of its contribution to fighting crime in the district.

Prior to this, the bank had been credited with building the Mampong Scalp Police Post.

Until the construction of the facility, the Boanim area was considered to be a den of thieves.

The furniture, according to the Chief Executive Officer of the bank, Dr Kwadwo Obesey Antwi, was to help the officers work with ease and motivate them to work harder.

He said the bank was ready to partner the police in fighting crime and improving the safety of the people, especially traders.

The items were presented by the Board Chairman, Mr Joseph Sarfo Adjei, and was received by the Chief of Boanim, Nana Boanyina Edusei Mensah II.
