Tamale: Graphic holds Town Hall Meeting today
The Northern Regional capital, Tamale, will today host a Town Hall Meeting, dubbed: “Graphic Corporates in Ghana Peace Campaign”, after the maiden edition had been held in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital, a fortnight ago.
The Corporate in Ghana Peace Campaign is geared towards public sensitisation and education on civic responsibilities, ensuring security and also creating the atmosphere for all to work towards achieving peace before, during and after the elections.
The campaign is meant to present a larger voice to advocate peace before, during and after the December 7 general election.

The Tamale Town Hall Meeting, slated for the Radach Lodge and Conference Centre, will be a panel discussion, and panellists, drawn from the National Peace Council (NPC), the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), the Ghana Police Service and the Electoral Commission (EC), will lead the discussions regarding what their respective institutions are doing to ensure peace before, during and after the elections.
There will also be a representation from the various corporate institutions in the region and the various youth groups.
Townhall meeting
Speaking in a radio interview on Diamond FM and Radio Savannah yesterday, the Editor of the Daily Graphic, Mr Kobby Asmah, said the Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL) had been organising town hall meetings since 2008.
He said this year's editions were supposed to have taken place in March, but they were postponed due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
