Tanker carrying 54,000 litres of petrol crashes on Mankessim-Fosu N8 highway

A fuel tanker carrying 54,000 litres of petrol crashed Thursday morning at Dominase Toboase on the Mankessim-Fosu N8 highway in the Central region.
Personnel from the Ghana National Service (GNFS) had to move in swiftly to manage the accident scene and caution road users as residents from neighbouring areas besieged the place to siphon fuel from the accident vehicle.
The Deputy Central Regional Public Relations Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service, ADOI Ebenezer Fiifi Dadzie gave the registration number of the tanker as AS 5140-24.
