A Tema-Accra bound train on Monday morning derailed moments after it left the train station at Community One.
The incident happened shortly before 8am and about 20 kilometers from the train station. No injuries were recorded.
Some passengers onboard the coach told Graphic Online’s Tema reporter, Benjamin Xornam Glover that the train was not speeding at the time incident happened.
Personnel of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority responded to the emergency call from the train operators and armed with heavy duty equipment, they managed to tow the coaches back unto the rail track for the train to continue its journey.
