Tema West Municipal Assembly receives 2 trucks from Zoomlion
The Tema West Municipal Assembly (TWMA) has received two skip trucks from Zoomlion Ghana Limited, a waste management company, to aid the collection of waste in the municipality.
The General Manager of Zoomlion at Tema, Mr Seth Ocran, who made the presentation on behalf of the company, indicated that Zoomlion and its subsidiary company, Meridian Waste Management, have rolled out a programme dubbed "One house, One bin" aimed at ensuring that every household nationwide was provided with a waste bin to avert indiscriminate disposal of waste in across the country.
He stated that the project had been piloted at Tema Community 11, and called on the assembly to support the initiative to have a safe and clean city.

The Tema West municipality has over the past years grappled with insecurity resulting from high profile robberies, a situation many had attributed to the lack of adequate street lighting.
The MCE said the situation would soon change as the assembly was in the process of installing about 250 streetlights across the municipality to help provide some level of security within the communities.
"I would want to urge all assembly members to help by taking care of the streetlights within their electoral areas in order to achieve the desired results”, she stressed.
