Togbe Afede heads National House of Chiefs

Togbe Afede XIV, the Agbomefia of the Asogli State, has been elected as the new president of the National House of Chiefs.
He polled 25 votes out of the total of 49 total votes.
He beat his closest contender, Awulae Attibrukusu III, the Omanhene of Lower Axim and outgoing vice president of the house, who polled 11 votes.
Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin, Okyehene had 10 votes while Nana Kobina Nketiah, V of Essikado had three votes.
