Top Oil hits 10th milestone
A thanksgiving service to climax activities marking the 10th anniversary celebrations of Top Oil Company Limited, a Ghanaian oil marketing company that deals in petroleum products, was held at the Central Congregation Chapel of the E.P Church, Ghana, in Ashaiman.

The church was filled with members od staff of the company, including management and friends of the firm, as well as chiefs and workers from other oil marketing companies.
The Ashaiman District Pastor of the E.P Church, Rev. Emmanuel Smart Konku, delivered a sermon on the theme: “Humility and Service to God.” He cautioned Christians who are puffed up with vanity to take a cue from the tribulations of Nebuchadnezzar in the Bible.
Rev. Konku said it was God who at an appointed time raised people to become kings and queens in a given field of endeavour and not by one’s own effort.
“Impersonating and backbiting to attain undeserving heights only leads to discredit in the eyes of the world, and as Christians, we must desist from such negative attitudes,” he said.
He urged Christians to glorify God wholeheartedly in spite of their circumstances because it was Him alone who knew why things happen the way they do.
Rev. Konku said just as Top Oil was expressing gratitude to God, so must other Christians not forget all that God had done for them in their lives.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Top Oil Company Limited, Mr Ben Atsu-Agbomanyi, said the company had achieved a lot since its establishment 10 years ago and that because of the manifold blessings it had received from God, it was fair that the company expressed its gratitude and appreciation.

He said the company began operations in 2004 with only five dealer stations. At present, he said, it had fifty-five branded fuel and gas filling stations across the 10 regions of the country.
Mr Atsu-Agbomanyi mentioned frequent shortage of petroleum products, armed robbery and lack of finance as some of the pressing challenges the company was facing.
He commended the staff and management for their dedication and hard work right from the stage of inception to date and urged them to continue to work hard for the company to achieve greater successes in the coming year.
