Two bodies donate to charity

Leading distributor of building supplies, Batimat Ghana, in collaboration with APE Ceramica has presented educational material to in my father’s house (IMFH) charity organisation.

The materials which included reading books, calculators, math sets, pens, pencils, textbooks, novels, toys and clothes were according to the two bodies part of their corporate social responsibility initiatives targeted at supporting the less privileged in society 

Present to hand over the items at a short but impressive ceremony on the premises of Batimat Ghana were representatives of the two companies namely: Mr Ali Zorkot,  Managing Director, Batimat Ghana; Mrs Louisa Pellicer and Mr David Pellicer, Chief Executive Officer of APE Ceramica

Presenting the items on behalf of the two bodies, Mr  Ali Zorkot said they were touched by the plight of children of the organization

“As a way of giving back to society, we decided to target these individual we consider very vulnerable in society. We are happy to safeguard their future wellbeing through support in the area of education and make them useful to themselves and society,” he said.

He commended leaders of the organization for giving hope to the children and tasked them to wholeheartedly guide the kids positively to reinforce their objective of training them to be useful individuals. 

The Founder and Executive Director of the organization, Rev. Fr. Joseph Rabbiosi, an Italian Comboni Missionary who received the items on behalf of the organization, thanked Batimat Ghana and APE Ceramica for the support, observing that the spirit of compassion and sensitivity towards the underprivileged was still moving in people, which deserves commendation

“We are all blessed to become a blessing to somebody as such I am excited about this gesture and hope society can come together and help the less priviledged to believe in themselves and get the dignity to grow to become useful to themselves and the society”

In my father’s house is a foreign-owned but locally managed Catholic Mission humanitarian organization operating in seven administrative districts and municipalities in the southern sector of the Volta Region. It operates its ‘children-centred’ programmes in the remotest villages ensuring that the African child especially the neglected and socially vulnerable are given care and protection.
