VALCO Fund presents educational materials to school
The Valco Trust Fund has presented assorted educational materials to the Mando Senior High Technical School in the Ajumako- Enyan- Essiam District in the Central Region.

The items included a fridge-freezer, five sewing machines, two pressing irons, two blenders, two gas cookers and two cylinders and their accessories.
The presentation was in response to a request by authorities of the school for an urgent assistance from the fund for the provision of the equipment which would be used by students at the Home Economics Department for practical purposes.
Interview
Speaking to the Daily Graphic after the handover ceremony, the Headmaster of the school, Mr Justice Kojo Frimpong, said the items had arrived at the opportune time as it would boost the confidence of the students during their practical lessons.
According to him, the items would enhance teaching and learning of particularly Clothing and Textiles as well as Food and Nutrition, which involve a lot of practical work.
He stated that apart from General Arts, Home Economics was the second course that had many students but the few learning materials were always overstretched.
He expressed optimism that the items would go a long way to improve the performance of the students.
Commendation
He commended the Valco Trust Fund for its benevolence and called on other benevolent institutions to come to the school’s aid.
Board Chairman
The Chairman of the school’s Board, Nana Kojo Quansah, urged the school authorities to ensure that the items were regularly maintained to prolong their lifespan.
He urged the school to institute a proper maintenance mechanism to ensure that the equipment benefitted future generations.
