Water supply to parts of Ashaiman curtailed
Water supply to parts of the Ashaiman municipality has been disrupted owing to breaks in pipelines as a result of ongoing construction works on the Ashaiman-Adjei Kojo road.
Residents have, therefore, appealed to the Ghana Water Company and the municipal assembly to urgently restore water supply even as the road construction continues.

Residents complain
Some residents who spoke to the Daily Graphic said for about a month now, water had not flowed through their taps. They said the situation had forced many to resort to the use of untreated water from some parts of the community for both domestic and other uses.
A resident, Mr Ibrahim Musah, said some people were taking advantage of the situation to exploit residents. He said a small container of untreated water sold between GH¢1 and GH¢2.
Another resident, Hajia Memunatu Alhassan, said she was worried that any delay in restoring water supply may expose residents to cholera.
Project site
When the Daily Graphic visited a project site of the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL), it found contractors of the company busily laying and replacing burst pipelines.
The contractors were, however, not certain when water supply to affected parts of the municipality would be restored.
An official of the GWCL, who preferred to remain anonymous, told the Daily Graphic that efforts were being made to replace all the broken pipelines so that residents would have regular water supply.
