Accra Psychiatric Hospital gets support

The Accra Psychiatric Hospital has taken delivery of medical supplies, food items, a 2,000-litre water tank, and cash to support the running of the facility.

The items were delivered to the hospital by Innova DDB Ghana in line with the latter's obligation to support society by giving to the less fortunate.

The donation was expected to help relieve the hospital of its financial burden and insufficient supply of logistics which the hospital that caters for mentally-ill people has been deprived of over the years.

The water tank was given away by Duraplast. 

The presentation was made by Innova DDB Ghana, a marketing communications and advertising firm. Every year the company, through donations,  supports the less fortunate in the society.

Last year, the company donated a percentage of its earnings towards mental healthcare development in the country, as part of its corporate social responsibility.

The donation to the Accra Psychiatric Hospital was in response to the hospital administration’s call for assistance in view of scarcity of resources to work with.

Innova DDB holds the view that mental health conditions do not affect the less privileged, misfits or under-achievers alone but could also strike others regardless of those people’s status in society.
