APMG donates to Ridge Hospital
A not for profit organisation, Africa Partners Medical Ghana (APMG), an offshoot of Africa Partners Medical, U.S.A , has donated some personal protective equipment (PPE) , and other items to the Greater Accra Regional Hospital (Ridge).
Items donated included surgical masks, disposable gowns, shoe cover, disposable gloves, sanitisers, face shields, anti bacterial wipes, vitamin c, among other items.
Presenting the items, the Board Chairman of APMG, Dr Charles Tsegah said the donation was part of efforts by his outfit to help in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, and also partner with health institutions in terms of training.

“The organisation is here to partner in the provision of quality tailor made health education programmes and medical equipment donations to help prevent needless deaths in the country, “ he said.
The Public Relations Officer of APMG, Ms Sara Danquah Yeboah, said APM and its partners had donated medical equipment and supplies totaling over US$750,000 to help support healthcare in Ghana.
“At the height of the pandemic in 2020, APM and her partners donated COVID Relief packs/ Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to some frontliners working on COVID cases in the Intensive Care Units in all regional hospitals across Ghana,” she said.
The Medical Director of the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, Dr. Emmanuel Srofenyo thanked APMG for the gesture and called on other organisations to support healthcare institutions in Ghana.
Training
Meanwhile, APMG has launched its training programme for health care workers across the country.
The training programme focuses on helping health care workers gain practical exposure to the techniques and methods in healthcare delivery in developed countries.

“We believe that a well educated health care worker who has adequate skills and technique can save more lives which can go a long way to reduce morbidity and mortality in Ghana,” Ms Danquah said.
