In a statement  to mark the  34th Anniversary of the Movement, which fell yesterday, Nana Konadu, who is also the flag bearer of the National Democratic Party (NDP), declared, “As women, we need to demand a well-functioning government, fair business climate, fair distribution of resources, reduced level of corruption and a country with sound security for everyone. When these aspects are improved, it will reduce the vulnerability of women and children in Ghana and open the doors of opportunity for us all.”

“Another year has successfully drawn to an end for the movement and we are immensely grateful to the Almighty.  Once again it is time for us to reflect and weigh our options as we forge ahead,” the statement pointed out.

The statement also congratulated all women and well-wishers and wish them a happy anniversary.
