46 Pick forms at close of nominations
Forty six members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) had picked nomination forms at the close of nomination yesterday January 29, to contest the various positions at the national level of the party.

Positions to be contested are national chairman, 1st national vice-chairman, 2nd national chairman and 3rd national vice-chairman.
Others are general secretary, national treasurer, national organiser, national women's organiser and national youth organiser.
Aspirants
The aspirants for the chairman position are Mr Paul Afoko, Mr Stephen Ntim, Mr Fred Oware, Mr Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey and Prof. Mike Oquaye.
For the Vice-Chairman, Mr Freddie Blay, Mr Sammy Crabbe, Mr Fred Amankwa Sarfo, Sheikh T.B. Damba, Mrs Serwaa Akoto Sam, Mr F.F. Antoh, Hajia Fati Amadu, Mogtari Sahanum, Mr Micheal Owari Wadie, Mr Kenwuud Nuworsu and Madam Afua Kyerewah Nyantakyi are contesting.
Mr Kojo Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as Sir John, Mr Kwabena Agyepong, Captain Nkrabea Effah Dartey and Mr Yaw Buaben Asamoah are battling it out for the General Secretary.
Those standing for National Organiser are Alhaji Moctar Bamba, Mr Hopeson Adorye Yaovi, Mr John Boadu and Mr Mahama Mahammoud.
The treasurer position provides the contest for Madam Sussie Mensah, Madam Esther Ofori, Mr Kwabena Abankwah Yeboah, Hajia Ahmed Sauda Ruka and Madam Otiko Djaba.

When the Daily Graphic team got to the headquarters around 4:30pm yesterday, nominations had closed and the last to pick his nomination form was Prof. Mike Oquaye, whose form was picked on his behalf by Mr Daniel Titus Glover, the Member of Parliament for Tema East constituency.
