Abu Sakara supports CPP with motorbikes

The 2012 flag bearer of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Dr Abu Sakara, has presented the first batch of 10 Super Royal motorbikes worth ¢30,000 to the party.This is to enhance the party’s activities towards the 2016 elections.

He said he would donate an additional 90 motorbikes to be distributed to CPP offices across the country.

Operational capacity

Presenting the motorbikes, Dr Sakara said the items were to boost the physical operational capacity of CPP offices in the districts. He said there was the need to strengthen the party with logistics to gain more support in order to gain power.

Dr Sakara said from 1992 to date, all elections held revealed that the votes the CPP and other Nkrumaist parties got kept dwindling. He, therefore, urged all the Nkrumaist parties to join forces and work towards strengthening the CPP to win power.

Interaction

Later in an interaction with the media, he called for a permanent voters register through the creation of a data base and national identity cards registration. Professor Edmund Delle, Chairman of the CPP, thanked Dr Sakara for the gesture and said Dr Sakara had taken the lead to show to the world that members of the CPP could help the party.

He said when he assumed office he mounted a campaign of self-reliance and appealed to all members to contribute their quota to the rebuilding of the party. ''We shall depend on ourselves to build our party and not on outsiders, " he said.

The chairman of the CPP council of elders,Mr Felix Amoah, appealed to all members of the party to bury their differences to ensure total victory for the party.
