President Akufo Addo to tour Volta Region
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will embark on a two-day working tour of the Volta Region next week.
The purpose of the tour, according to the Minister of Information, Mr Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, is to give the President an opportunity to hear first-hand from the people and observe for himself the progress of work being done in the region.
The President is expected to kick off the tour in the Ho Central constituency with a meeting with the Regional Security Council (REGSEC) on Monday, November 4 and then depart to Adaklu and Akatsi to inspect infrastructure projects and also attend the 30th anniversary of the Akatsi District Assembly.
President Akufo-Addo will later grace a durbar of chiefs and people of Aflao.
President Akufo-Addo will on the second day of his tour [November 5] interact with students and tutors of some selected schools in Ho and Vakpo and also commission a dormitory block at the Vakpo Senior High School.
He would also attend durbars in Dzolokpuita, Kpeve; as well as visit the Volta Star Textiles and lay a foundation stone for the construction of a railway line.
President Akufo-Addo is expected back in Accra on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.
