Alhaji Farouk Mahama inaugurates water facility for Adibo community

Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama, a son of former Vice President Aliu Mahama, has inaugurated a mechanised borehole facility for Adibo farming community in the Yendi Municipality in the Northern Region at a cost of GH¢30,000.

The project, funded by Alhaji Farouk, is expected to serve about 1,500 people in the community and its environs.

Speaking at a ceremony to hand over the facility to the community, Alhaji Farouk said the Adibo community was one of the communities in the municipality which always faced water challenges especially in the dry season.

That, he said, lacked of access to potable drinking water in the community always posed serious health risk to the people, particularly children.

He said he would continue to do his bit to improve the lives of the people in the area, pointing out that he would continue his father’s legacy in the municipality.

Alhaji Farouk has picked nomination forms to contest the upcoming primaries of the New Patriotic Party in the Yendi Constituency of the Northern Region.
