Bawumia to Nana Addo: You are incorruptible, competent

On the occasion of the 72nd birthday of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, (NPP) his running mate for two times, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia tweeted his felicitations, noting the 'remarkable' man that he is.

"To a truly remarkable man - honest, incorruptible, trustworthy, principled and competent. Happy Birthday Nana", read Bawumia's tweet, accompanied by a portrait of Nana Addo in a blue and white smock, wearing a broad smile.

Of course the tweet drew reactions, mostly from well wishers, some of who in turn tweeted their prayers for the man asking Ghanaians to try him. But there were discordant tweets too.

Nana Addo had a quiet anniversary Tuesday, spending the morning on radio in a conversation with Fiifi Banson on Kasapa FM in Accra, where he shared his life story and desires for Ghana.
