At the Adisadel Health Centre in the Tsibu Darko electoral area, the exercise was going on smoothly. A total of 621 registered voters were expected to cast their vote but only 11 had cast their vote as at 7.40am.

The Presiding officer, Mr Joseph Dadzie said he expected more voters later in the day.

Three assembly members and six unit committee members were contesting the elections.

Some of the voters noted that education on the selection of the unit committee members had been very low.

At the Pentecost voting centre also at the Tsibu Darko Electoral area, only six people had voted as at 7.30am.

Mr Boakye Ansah, presiding officer for the centre said there had been no problem with the biometric machines and that all was going on smoothly.

At the Wiseway voting centre in the Ayikoo-Ayikoo electoral area in Cape Coast, 70 voters had cast their votes as at 9.50am. The Presiding officer, Mr Benjamin Bondzie told the Graphiconline that the exercise began at 7.20am because they had to relocate the voting area.

The centre has 462 registered voters. He said he was sure many more would turn up to vote.
