Daniel Amartey Mensah, 4 others win NDC NEC slots

One of the positions that attracted more contestants in the just-ended eigth national delegates congress of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kumasi last Saturday was that of the National Executive Committee (NEC).

Those who emerged victorious in the NEC election were Mr Daniel Amartey Mensah, Ms Victoria Kumah Mintah, Alhaji Sumaila Mahama, Mr Adu-Yeboah Samuel and Alhaji Babanlamie Abu Sadat.

The complete results as announced by the officers of the Electoral Commission (EC), who supervised the election, were: Mr Amartey Mensah - 2285, Ms Kumah Mintah - 2215, Alhaji Mahama -1330, Mr Adu-Yeboah -1268, and Alhaji  Abu Sadat -1096.

Others were Mr Fato Kwame Nicholas - 812, Mr Amadu Iddrisu Eliyasu - 696, Ekow Mends - 694, Dr Ebenezer Kofi Hayford - 617, Nyaku Efanam Komla - 610, Mr Suka Mohammed - 606, Mr Wisdom Yaw Yamenui - 538, and Mr William Addo Brown - 527.
