Elections must be peaceful - Light Foundation

The Light Foundation, a human-centred Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) based in Accra is calling on Ghanaians to participate in the forthcoming general elections by voting peacefully without any tension and conflict.

In a statement signed by its Executive Director, Sheikh Ali Abubakar Napari, the NGO urged all the stakeholders in the elections to also undertake their responsibilities fairly and within the remit of the laws.

"The Foundation also appeals to all to act in the way that our peace will not be disturbed or toyed with since peace is an expensive commodity its absence affects the fibre of our country," the statement said.

"It wishes all the contesting political parties well. It prays that at the end of the exercise, Ghana and Ghanaians will be the victors".
