‘Encourage others to be agents of change’

The Diocesan Bishop of Tema, the Rt Rev. Thomas Brown Forson, has challenged church leaders to exhibit good moral values to encourage non-Christians to become agents of change in society and also come to Christ.

He threw the challenge at the induction of the president, the chaplain and officers of the Christ Little Band of the Tema Diocese of the Methodist Church at the St Paul Methodist Church.

The Rt Rev Forson urged smaller groups in the church to serve as mediators between the members and the leadership of the church because “serving God requires determination, dedication and love for the things of God”.

He commended Opanyin Abraham N. K. Odoom for leading the Christ Little Band from its inception.

He charged the new executive to remain committed to serving the church at all times, despite the challenges they would face in the course of their duties.

Opanyin Odoom congratulated all officers who had been selected to manage the band, and asked them to study the Word of God vigorously and be ready to serve members of the church with a high sense of selflessness and love.

The band has Opanyin N.K Odoom as its President; Bro. John Otoo Lartey as Vice-President; Sis. Comfort Edzi, immediate past President; Sis. Baaba Dickson, Secretary; Sis. Victoria Essel-Ampiah and Sis. Mary K. Odoi, members.

The other members are Sis. Evelyn Golighther, Sis. Hannah Ghansah, Bro. Duke Abbey and Sis. Juliana Osei Aidoo.
