Frances Essiam appointed cylinder manufacturing company CEO
Madam Frances Essiam, a member of the Communication Team of the ruling New Patriotic Party has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing Company (GCMC).
Madam Essiam, who contested the Adentan Parliamentary seat on the ticket of the NPP in 2012 but could not win was instrumental in the NPP’s 2016 campaign.

In a letter confirming her appointment, the Minister of Energy, Mr Boakye Agyarko wrote: “The Ministry has received a letter … dated 25th April, 2017 from the Office of the President, nominating you for appointment as the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing Company Limited by His Excellency the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.”
“You are therefore appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing Company Limited. Please accept my congratulations on your appointment”.
Essiam, a vociferous politician defected from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in 2005 to the NPP.
She won the NPP parliamentary primary in 2012 but was defeated at the general election by the NDC’s Emmanuel Nii Ashe Moore.
In 2016 however, the incumbent MP for Adentan, Yaw Buaben Asamoah took over and won the seat from the NDC’s new entrant Mohammed Ramadan.
