The Oti Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Jonathan Manu Akpabeh, has advised aspirants campaigning for the forthcoming NPP regional executive elections to see the exercise as a family affair and avoid hate speeches and character assassinations.
“Your campaign should be issue-based, hammering on your proposed programme to convince the electorate to join the party towards victory in the 2028 general election,” he said
He made the call after the regional vetting committee cleared the aspirants to contest the election for the 11 regional positions.
Disqualification
Mr Akpabeh reminded the aspirants that there were no enemies in an internal election since they were all aiming for a common goal.
He said after the vetting process, one of the two aspirants contesting for the Regional Youth Organiser position, Yussif Nabin Gbande, was disqualified, leaving the other aspirant, Prince Kwadwo Amanor, unopposed for the position.
