Collation of results: NPP accuses NDC of disrupting exercise in 12 constituencies
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of disrupting the collation of parliamentary election results in 12 constituencies.
The constituencies are Ablekuma North, Okaikwei Central, Tema Central, Dome Kwabenya, Ahafo Ano North, Obuasi East, Ahafo Ano South West, Akwatia, Suhum, Fanteakwa North, Nsawam-Adoagyiri, and Techiman South.

The NPP claims to have documented evidence, including pink sheets and videos, to prove their parliamentary candidates emerged victorious in those areas.
Election interference
Addressing a press conference in Accra yesterday (December 16), a former National Chairman of the party, Peter Mac Manu, accused the NDC of engaging in desperate actions to undermine the democratic process after losing in key areas.
He described the behaviour of the NDC as “lawless”. He claimed that the party’s leadership deployed hoodlums to destroy electoral materials, intimidate officials, and force premature declaration of results in constituencies where they had no evidence of victory.
“The question many will ask is, why will anybody who claims to have won an election be interested in destroying the most crucial evidence that will confirm their victory? The person who has genuinely won should be more interested in protecting the evidence that proves they have indeed won,” Mac Manu said.
Mr Mac Manu also accused NDC operatives of attacking collation centres and threatening electoral officials into making declarations under duress.
In some cases, he said, key forms such as Form 1C and Form 1D, which were required by electoral regulations, were not completed, casting doubt on the validity of the results announced in those areas.

“The only reasonable conclusion that can be drawn from the lawless conduct of the NDC leadership and their party thugs is that they know they have lost the parliamentary elections in these constituencies,” he stated.
Call to action
Mr Mac Manu emphasised the NPP’s commitment to upholding the rule of law. He pledged to use all available evidence to ensure that the true will of the electorate was reflected in the outcome.
As tensions continue to rise on the disputed results, Mac Manu has called on Ghanaians to remain calm and trust the Electoral Commission to fulfil its constitutional mandate.
“It is therefore our expectation that the EC would immediately resume the collation exercise. We implore the National Election Security Taskforce to provide adequate security to facilitate peaceful collation in a serene environment. We are also calling on the NDC leadership to rein in their supporters.

“We are very certain that our parliamentary candidates in the above-mentioned constituencies won the elections, based on verifiable data from the pink sheets as we have demonstrated.
He called on stakeholders to, in the interest of democracy and peace, take immediate steps to give effect to the will of the voters in those constituencies as expressed in the December polls.
