I won’t let Asanteman down — Mahama
The presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama, has made a promise to voters in the Ashanti Region that he will deliver on his commitments if elected into office on Saturday.
He said unlike the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) that had taken the electorate in the region’s loyalty for granted, an NDC government under his leadership “won’t let Asanteman down”.

“After going round the region, I have realised that the NPP takes your votes for granted because they believe you will vote for them no matter what, and that is why they have neglected the region in terms of development,” Mr Mahama added.
He urged the electorate to reflect on their current living conditions and vote for change to reset the country and position the economy on the path of growth.
The NDC presidential candidate, who has been on a six-day tour of the region ahead of the election on Saturday, was addressing a group of enthusiastic supporters in Effiduase, around 1 a.m., last Wednesday.
Engagements
The John Mahama's #Mahama4Change2024 campaign began with a community engagement in Mpatom, in the Manso Nkwanta Constituency, where Mr Mahama addressed party supporters and traditional leaders in the area, sharing his vision for the region.
He expressed his determination to improve the lives of the people by addressing the pressing issues affecting communities, including the poor state of roads.
Mr Mahama also made a stop at Manso Adubia, where his message of hope resonated with the people.
