NDC champion in national development - Twifo-Atti-Morkwa MP asserts

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for Twifo-Atti-Morkwa, Theophilus Vondee, has stated that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) cannot rival the NDC in national development efforts.

Speaking at the reopening of the renovated Twifo Praso A/D Basic School, Mr Vondee stated that the NDC government had undertaken numerous development projects within just 18 months.

Event

The event coincided with the second speech and prize-giving day of the school.

He mentioned education, health and many other social interventions as some of the achievements.

Mr Vondee claimed that if governance were an exam, NDC would have been first, and that choosing the NPP would be a mistake, suggesting the party might remain in opposition for decades before learning effective governance from the NDC.

Neglect

The District Chief Executive for Twifo-Atti-Morkwa, Isaac Yawson, said the school was neglected for more than 20 years and highlighted the importance of the renovation, which was fostering a conducive learning environment.

He urged the students to take advantage of the revitalised facilities to pursue their education and secure a brighter future for themselves and the district.

The headteacher, Emmanuel Entinfful Koomson, lauded Mr Yawson for his dedication and hard work, noting that the spirit at Twifo Praso A/D Basic School had been renewed after the school was renovated. — GNA
