Ledzokuku-Krowor Election Security Task Force inaugurated

The Ledzokuku-Krowor Municipal Election Security Task Force has been inaugurated with a call on members to deal with undesirable incidents, including snatching of ballot boxes, vandalising of polling centres and other acts of violence.

The task force is to provide the platform to deal with all election- security-related issues in a coordinated manner ahead of the 2016 general election.

The 14-member security task force, which is chaired by the Kpeshie Divisional Police Commander, ACP Mr Vincent Gyan-Kyereko, will supervise and ensure that the election is conducted in a free and fair manner, and devoid of any form of violence within the municipality.

The task force is also expected to survey and identify polling stations known for riots, as well as calm zones to enable them to know where to increase the presence of security agents in order to avert any form of violence.
