Nana Addo, Bawumia, Alan to address NPP Talensi rally

A number of New Patriotic Party bigwigs, including Nana Akufo-Addo, presidential candidate and his running mate Dr Mahamudu Bawumia are due to address the party’s final rally Sunday ahead of the Talensi by-election on July 7.

Other speakers at the rally to be held at the Winkongo JSS Park, Clinic Street, opposite Big Boss, include the Parliamentary Candidate, Thomas Duanab Wuni; Deputy Minority Leader Dominic Nitiwul; MP for Nabdam Boniface Gambila; Alan Kyerematen; Yaw Osafo Maafo; Kwadwo "Sir John" Afriyie; Rashid Bawa and Otiko Djaba.

A statement issued by the party and signed by its Deputy Communications Director, Anthony Karbo, said the party and police agreed on the venue on Saturday following earlier disagreements with the National Democratic Congress over who first applied to hold a rally at the Catholic Park in Tongo, the constituency capital.

“Come one- come all to support Homeboy Wuni to begin the NPP home stretch to 2016, for victory in this Tuesday’s by-election in Talensi,” the statement said.
