NDC is ready for Ablekuma North rerun - Tanko-Computer
The Deputy Director of Elections and IT for tNational Democratic Congress (NDC), Sofo Rashid Tanko-Computer has said the NDC was ready and prepared for the rerun of the parliamentary election in 19 polling stations in the Ablekuma North constituency of Greater Accra.
“We are ready for the election come Friday. As I speak to you now, I’m just coming from an engagement with the electorate in Ablekuma North,” he said in an interview with TV3 on Tuesday.
He said regardless of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) decision to boycott the rerun scheduled for Friday July 11, the NDC has intensified grassroot mobilisation and was confident of flipping the seat, which the NPP has held since 1996.
“We want to give the NPP a befitting defeat,” he said.
