In a tweet, Lawyer and leading Member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Gabby Otchere-Darko commended the NDC for recapturing the seat, which they lost to NPP in 2012.

“#Talensi2015 it looks like the big gains went to both NDC and PNC against NPP. NDC has made a sweet come back. PNC on the rise.  Great show,” he said.

“#Talensi2015 Congrats BT Baba of NDC for winning the Talensi by-election.  NDC takes back its traditional stronghold,” he added.

Meanwhile the Founder of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, Tuesday night condemned the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) for engaging in what he described as “politics of stealing, bribery, and violence” ahead of Tuesday’s by-election in Talensi.
