The Electoral Commission has now issued a notice of poll for the primary.

The primary is to elect a parliamentary candidate for the November 7 elections.

The contest is between an educationist,  Mr Cephas Edusei, and a farmer, Mr Wisdom  Njonam Waja.

The Nkwanta South primary had been delayed for unforeseen intra-party misunderstanding at the constituency level, but the party has been able to resolve all differences to enable it to roll out its strategic plans for the November elections.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC), which is yet to conduct its primary there, claims the delay to be strategic.

The Deputy Volta Regional Communications Director of NPP,  Mr Enoch Amegbletor, who disclosed this to the Daily Graphic, had assured the public that barring any unforseen circumstances the primary would be held on Saturday without any form of acrimony.

It will be recalled that the NPP conducted a nationwide parliamentary primaries on June 15 last year but the Nkwanta South constituency could not participate due to unforeseen intra-party differences.
