In a statement issued Thursday afternoon, signed by NPP General Secretary Kwabena Agyapong, the party expressed shock and sadness at the acid attack in Bolgatanga and said it unreservedly condemn “this criminal act.”

“We expect that the Police Service will act swiftly in bringing the perpetrators of this heinous crime to face the full wrath of the law,” the statement said, and called on all party faithful “to remain calm in this sad moment of ours and trust the security agencies to give us justice.”
