Okaikoi North Constituency NDC primaries peaceful

Voting has been progressing orderly and peacefully in the Okaikoi North Constituency in the greater Accra Region, reports Victor Kwawukume.

So far there has not been any untoward incident.

However, it was observed that a good number of people who thronged some polling stations within the constituency were ill-informed as they thought it was a general elections.

But in those instances, the Presiding Officer explained the situation to them and they left.

 

At the Anohuma Polling Station, 48 people had voted as at 8:25 but this reporter observed that those who came to vote, especially the elderly, were given sample ballot papers of President Mahama indicating a "yes" vote and asked to do same.

At the True Vine Polling Station, 117 people had cast their votes as at 9am.

Voting at the Achimota Central Market was going on peacefully as at 11am. When Graphic Online visited there, 231 people had voted.

The contestants are Godwin Ako Gunn, Malik Adama and Abdul Razak Issah.
