TEIN members asked to be united

The University of Education, Winneba, Kumasi Campus branch of the NDC's Tertiary Education Institutional Network (TEIN) has sworn in its newly elected executive with a call on members to forge a united front.

The Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, Mr Samuel Yaw Adusei, asked the members to avoid anything that would create cracks and bring division, adding that it was important to put the party ahead of individual ambition.

He condemned the situation “where some institutions have two parallel executives both fighting for the same cause,” adding that this was not helpful to the group’s overall image.

Mr Adusei urged them to focus their energies on helping to grow the NDC,  explaining government policies and telling its success story to people at the grass roots.

This, he said, was necessary to help the people to appreciate the achievements of the government and broaden the party’s support base to enhance its chances of winning the 2016 elections.

The newly elected Chairman of the Network, Mr Ibrahim Haruna, pledged to work hard to make the TEIN vibrant, and urged the members to take active part in its activities.

The other officers include Abdul Rahman, the Vice-President; Mr Godwin Enbonzumah, Secretary; Mr Franklin Aguri, Treasurer; Ms Abibata Gomda, Women’s Organiser; Mr Pienaa Eric Sanba, Propaganda Secretary; and Sampson Ayambilla, Organiser. — GNA
