Vetting: Minority points out elementary mistakes in how presidency communicated ministerial nominees to Parliament
The Appointments Committee of Parliament on Monday morning starting vetting the three ministerial nominees of President John Dramani Mahama.
But before the committee started asking questions when the first nominee, Cassiel Ato Forson appeared, the Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo Markin pointed to some elementary mistakes in the letter from the presidency, that communicated to Parliament, the names of the nominees.

He said it was a mistake for the Secretary to the President to have been the one who wrote to Parliament, when the rules explicitly states that the President is the one who has to communicate to the Speaker in writing.
He also indicated that the Minority side of Parliament was demanding that the President should provide the House with his full list of nominees instead of communicating it to Parliament in "tots."
