Voters express concerns over positioning of voting booths in Adenta Constituency
Some voters in the Adenta Constituency have raised concerns about the positioning of the voting booths, stating that the arrangement compromised their ability to vote in secrecy.
Voters noted that, especially for the Presidential ballot, which has more candidates, the booths should have been positioned in a way that allowed for greater privacy while voting.

“The placement of the booths makes it easy for anyone nearby to see where you are voting—whether at the top, middle, or bottom of the ballot—which defeats the purpose of a secret ballot,” one voter said after casting their vote.
The two booths—one for the Presidential vote and the other for the Parliamentary vote—are situated so that voters face the queue but have their backs to the electoral officers’ desks.
While the Presiding Officers (POs) acknowledged the concerns, they explained that they were limited by regulations. The booths must be positioned within a certain radius of the polling station and in a way that ensures no one can see how a voter is casting their ballot.
“We understand that the Presidential ballot is longer than usual, but voters are managing,” said the PO at the Cobby Memorial School Polling Station in Adenta. “We appreciate their concerns, but there isn’t much we can do about it.”
