The police have had to step in to stop a brawl between the Wa chairman of the New Patriotic Party and some delegates over disagreements on the qualification of two delegates to vote.
The chairman was said to have verbally suspended the two during the party’s presidential primary for allegedly insulting him, and he expected them to stay away from the current polls because they had not been restored.
But the two, supported by others rejected the fiat, leading to fisticuffs. The police quickly stepped in to stop the punches.
