"I have been told that over the past days, you have been praying and fasting for the country, and I want to thank you. May God listen to your prayers and may He also bless you," Dr. Bawumia said.
Reflecting on the forthcoming election, he emphasised his belief in divine will, stating, "On December 7, we will be voting to elect a new leader for our country as well as new Members of Parliament. I believe that it is only God who installs leaders, so whatever we do, without God, it is in vain."
Dr. Bawumia drew inspiration from scripture, adding, "As the Bible says, if the Lord does not build the house, we labour in vain. Men cannot do it, but with God, all things are possible."
The Vice President also referenced the story of Cyrus in the Bible, saying, "His ways are not our ways. God works in so many ways that we cannot understand. If you look at how in the Bible God used Cyrus to help the Israelites, God can also use Dr. Bawumia to help our country Ghana. So we need your prayers, and I believe all of us need prayers."
Dr. Bawumia was warmly received by the congregation and leadership of the Hebron Prayer Camp. The church leaders expressed their gratitude for what they described as a "special" visit, while the Vice President thanked them for their prayers and hospitality.
