Alhaji Gruzah: Faisal buoyed by new team bus
The Founder and Bankroller of King Faisal FC, Alhaji Abdul Karim Gruzah, says a 39-seater Yutong bus donated by Ghana's Vice President, Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, will motivate the team to perform well in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
He said the donation was a welcome gesture as the team needed a more comfortable means of transport to travel around the country to participate in the league.
“The donation came at a time the team was struggling to get a means of transport to honour our away matches in particular. All the technical team members and players are very happy with the bus and are determined to do their best by being very competitive in the league with a view to showing our appreciation to the Vice President,” Alhaji Gruzah told the Graphic Sports.
He said the bus was being branded in the club's colours and would be officially handed over to King Faisal, “which currently travels on a bus donated by a former player of the club and Ghana legend, Samuel Osei Kuffour.”
Alhaji Gruzah expressed his appreciation to Dr Bawumia who he claimed had expressed worry that in spite of the significant role played by King Faisal in the development of Ghana football over the years, the players did not have a decent means of transportation.
