Arsenal dents Man City’s top-four hopes with 2:2 draw

Arsenal twice fought back to draw 2:2 with Manchester City at the Etihad Sunday, leaving both clubs desperately in search of Champions League qualifications.

The game was only 8 minutes old when Sergio Aguero put City ahead, but the cheers had barely died down when Olivier Giroud headed in the equalizer.

Kevin de Bruyne will restore City’s lead with a low finish after racing with the ball all the way from midfield, only for City to succumb to an enterprising Arsenal play as Alexis Sanchez finished off a Giroud pass in the 51st minute.

With the final league game on the cards next weekend, Arsenal looks the more likely to secure a Champions League slot as they host bottom placed Aston Villa with City playing away to Swansea.

Arsenal have 68 points, Man City 65 points with 5th placed Man Utd at 63.
