Ethiopia game is going to be tough — Jordan Opoku

 

Skipper of the local Black Stars, Jordan Opoku, remains optimistic about the chances of the team in reaching the quarter-finals  of the ongoing African Nations Championship (CHAN2014) in South Africa, despite the odds that confront the team.

Three of the teams in the group namely, Ghana, Libya and Congo Brazzaville, are chasing two slots for the second round as the race remains wide open.

The Stars come up against Ethiopia this afternoon at the Free State Stadium,  acutely aware that only a positive result can guarantee them a  quarter-final berth.

“Everyone is working very hard. There is determination and focus. We have set our minds to that because it won’t be an easy game,” he stated. 

“When you a meet a team that has not recorded a single point, it tends to be difficult. But it depends on how we tackle this challenge.
