The Black Stars, runners-up at 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea previously on 864 points moved a place higher in the global ranking with 887 points.

Ghana still maintains her third spot in Africa, behind Algeria who are 18th in the world and continental champions, Ivory Coast, who won at the expense of Ghana to claim their second historic trophy.

Sitting at the apex of the global ranking is Germany, the world champions with Argentina, Colombia, Belgium and Netherlands in that order.

Ghana could improve her ratings on the next FIFA Ranking if Avram Grant’s side is able to clinch wins in the friendly matches against Senegal and Mali this month.
