I don’t believe in big names — Hayford

Ashantigold SC coach, Bashir Hayford, says he doesn't believe in signing big names to achieve success with the club.

Coach Hayford stated that he was focused on recruiting young talents who are passionate to help the club succeed.

Ashantigold had a bad season in their bid to defend their Premier League title in the last campaign after finishing 11th.

In an interview with the Graphic Sports, Coach Hayford said, "I don't believe in signing big names to succeed in the Premier League because I don't think that is the case".

"We are looking at coming out with young talents who are passionate to help the team succeed.”

When asked about the team's preparations and target for the upcoming season, he said it was too early to state a particular focus but noted that his team was ready for the campaign.

He explained that his main focus is to give his side a bright start in order to challenge for honours this time round.
